:: THIS SONG'S STORY ::

It was a struggle to find a title for the album that would become Sundrops. I had a handful of titles but none were jumping out at me as the one. I knew I wanted something that reflected these themes of sunshine and rain, but I couldn't make up my mind.

So Sundrops was the last song written for the album Sundrops. I wrote a couple variations of the first two verses and the chorus and wasn't sure if I had something worth pursuing or not. I shared a demo with a couple close friends and they encouraged me to keep going with it.

Over the next few days the song grew on me and I became obsessed with finishing it. I kept moving words around and polishing the thing. I took my notebook to bed and wrote down lines in the dark in the middle of the night. Trying not to rustle the paper too much and wake any sleeping people up.

When I finished the song I knew I had a title for the album. I like that this song's subject (not being able to make up your mind!) was informed by where I was with titling the record. I'm a little like the weather sometimes.
