I worked hard to write a handful of nonsense songs for this album, and Apples on the Sun took some effort to keep in the nonsense realm. My task-oriented brain always wants to go in a sequential, linear direction. But if you've spent any amount of time with young children you know that they exist in a non-linear reality. Causation and consequences are not in perspective (a puddle is an invitation to splash!) as they go about experiencing the world in the present moment.
