This song was written January - December 2011. I wrote most of the lyrics to this song on New Year's Day (1/1/11!) but they just sat in a closed notebook for a year. When I rediscovered them I knew they needed some music.

This song uses that same device as the song "Monkey Love" where one word gets repeated over and over again. (English majors...is there a name in the textbook for that?) And it's one of those songs that could easily have a hundred verses if you put the time into it.

For many years I wrote down my dreams. I can go back to those pages and vividly remember most of them. And yes, I did have a wordless rainbow dream -- just colors and spinning shapes. I woke up from that with a peaceful feeling.

I love asking kids about their dreams and hearing what they have to say. My five year old friend Tuva draws her dreams in a notebook she keeps. Maybe she'll write a verse to this song.
